yesterday was my birthday ... yay.
I got a Canon 500D ... so excited to get all photographic.

park&cube

a new illustration, this time of fashion blogger Park & Cube.
I felt compelled to draw her amazing hair! It really makes me wish I gorgeous dark glossy hair.

madeline

a new practice illustration, with the subject being a lover coat I would buy in a snap if I had a real income (as opposed to my student income!).
Its called the madeline coat after the adorable little french cartoon of the same name and the cute drop collar coats the girls wear. When I was little I used to watch the show and wish I was a young parisian just for the snappy outfits... le sigh.

I'm getting very excited about my looming birthday ...

what I really want is a crazy flower headband

for my birthday invites I quickly did a new drawing ... problem was I made the dress white and everybody keeps asking me if its really a secret wedding and not a birthday ???
my attention to the dress was minimal, because what I was focused on was the huge floral headpiece ... which I really want to find / make. I guess they weren't looking at that.

NB: based on the invitation feedback I changed the dress to pink before I put it up here.
