tribal ruffle illustration

As another part of my ruffle assignment, I decided to draw an illustration of the Limited Edition Tribal Ruffle (which has feathers & beads).
I am super happy with how it turned out ... it even makes me want to put leaves in my hair.

something silly ... squirrels!

For one of my first year photoshop classes we had to create a composite image of one of our memories. My memory revolved around my recent trip to London and the fact that even though I was told I would never see squirrels in winter, I saw heaps.
We had to include as many things we learnt in class as possible, being a first year class - this meant filters to the max! Its a little silly, but was a fun change from my third year work.

dream client

It's always nice when you get a dream client that lets you design whatever you want and loves everything you do. I am lucky enough to have a client like this now, which coincides nicely with developing work for my graduate folio.

My friend Belinda is starting her own business and asked me to do her branding. The company is called Ruby Rabbit (after her daughter - Ruby Abbott) and over the next month I will be creating all the stationery, marketing and pretty things she could possibly need for an emerging company - but for now, here is the logo.

i shot the ruffles

the ruffle construction is all finished and this week I did the first of many photo shoots for the ruffle assignment.
A big hug & thank you to Danielle for taking a break from anatomy study to model for me.
Now to process the 375 images :(

ruffling in progress

in the midst of making my ruffle neck-pieces, I feel I may go crazy from so much pleating and pinning!
The pieces are nearly all done and I am planning two very cool black & white photo shoots with friends as models.
