moreton in the winter

it's taken about a week, but the photos of my 21st are finally up. For those not in the know, Me and a few friends (the ones willing to make the effort) went to Moreton Island for spot of winter camping. It was a bit chilly in the nights (5 °) but the days were nice and sunny. For some it was their first camping experience ever, so we showed them how the Marais' camp. Activities included boating, eating, drinking, marshmallow toasting, watching a movie and some singstar (yep, playstation on the beach). today jaysen and I took a trip to goma in the city to take photos of stuff. We also went to IKEA for some cake and to avoid the peak hour traffic. Good times...

birthday goodness

monday was my 21st birthday... as well as my brother jaysen's 26th birthday.
photos of my party (camping at Moreton Island) will be going up shortly, however here are a few candids of the present giving thing with the family and the super tasty dinner I made.

following in the tradition of other celebrities doing magazine shoots to promote their new films, the Simpsons have jumped on the bandwagon and have done a "shoot" for US harpers Bazaar showing them in couture with "simpson" versions of the designers and linda evangelista (not sure why!). I think it very clever and very well done with the cartoonists capturing the designers personalities brilliantly... my favourite is Lanvin! (the bow tie is captured perfectly)

What was once a uni blog has been transformed into a snazzy little personal blog.

I will not set limits and nasty constraints to the content you will find here. It is mainly a place for me to communicate with those I know that which interests me most.

This will include a variety of topics, for example:
* fashion - one of my most passionate interests. I love Australian fashion and its emerging group of trés talented designers, but i also like to look at a bit of international on occasion.
* sewing and pattern making - my love of clothes often extends to attempts to make them. i also have an unhealthy love of lace, cotton fabrics and buttons (especially wooden ones)
* uni - as a major part of my life, I am positive the topic of uni will come up on occasion, i will also show some of the fun and interesting projects i work on.
* social events & friends - self explainatory.
